Pastor Ebony Freeland Bryant is a native of Hillsborough, North Carolina, and has been grounded in faith from an early age. Encouraged by her parents to believe that all things are possible through Christ, she developed a passion for leadership, learning, and service. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Pastor Ebony was licensed as a minister in June 2014 and ordained as an Elder in November 2016 at One Love Ministries in Durham, North Carolina, under the leadership of Pastor John Fitzpatrick, Jr. She was installed as Campus Pastor of Sozo Life Ministries in January 2019 under the spiritual leadership of Overseer Kysha Jones Thompson and now serves as Executive Pastor. She considers it an honor and privilege to serve God’s people and is excited about what God continues to do through Sozo Life Ministries.
With more than 20 years of experience in diversity and inclusion work, Pastor Ebony also serves as the founder and visionary of Rhema Ministries, which includes books, blogs, and retreats. She believes in the transforming power of deliverance and that transparency, wisdom, and truth lead to lasting freedom. Pastor Ebony has been married to her husband, Kevin Bryant, since 2006, and they are the proud parents of two daughters, Sanai and Kennedi.
